Info for Little Hades

💀 Character Information
Name: Lucifer Morningstar
Canon: Lucifer
Canon Point: S1, Ep 13 (When he gets shot/killed by Malcolm and returns to Hell)
Age: 10 billion+
Description: 6'3, 175lbs, Lucifer Morningstar manages to look well put together with a sort of casualness to him that shows in the lack of corded definition in his frame. He's svelte and charming and does love to dress to impress, but he's not bulging at the seams and considers himself average in parts, but extraordinary when viewed as a whole. He prefers suits and expensive garments because they make him look good, obviously. Short curly dark hair that's barely managed and dark eyes complete the look, along with a generous scruff for style more than anything.
Physical changes: We'll let him have his original wings back, and as per his canon, they mostly stay hidden away. Apparently except when orgasming (as proven by Amenadiel), or when they're intentionally brought out (again, shown by Amenadiel trying to stabbity Lucifer in the neck with them).
Powers:
  • Immortality - Doesn't age, can only be injured in specific circumstances (by an angel, by something not of this earth (like a demon blade forged in hell), or by/around Chloe Decker for reasons that are still unknown and we're not entirely sure if that's been sorted after the finale.) Otherwise, is basically immune to being harmed (shown by him running a knife over his hand and it having no effect, or Maze throwing different types of blades at him and them bouncing off.)
  • Enhanced Healing - On the off chance he is wounded (like in a fight with his brother or by Chloe), he heals more quickly than a human would.
  • Enhanced Strength - Shown by him throwing people around and through glass walls.
  • Enhanced Durability/Stamina - Implied by numerous comments about his 'bedroom activities', and given credence in that Lucifer doesn't lie ("But trust me, it'd be a win-win. And probably another win after that. I mean, I have tremendous stamina."). Also proven by numerous scenes of him rarely needing a rest/downtime.
  • Escapism - I'm not sure what else to call this, but he's gotten out of handcuffs, out of a locked car, into locked buildings, all without little to no effort. He just cannot be contained if he doesn't want to be.
  • Desire - Lucifer has the ability to both invoke desire and appeal to the carnal nature in most women and men that swing that way, and to draw out the hidden desires in people that they might not want to share. The more complex a person is, the more he has to exert his will. It can be negated, both of them not effective at all on Chloe Decker and his hypnotic effect being able to be fought against or looked away from. There has to be sustained eye contact to cause someone to share secrets they don't want to, like hypnotism. If someone looks away, they can resist it. Or they can just refuse to look in his eyes.
  • Devil Face - Lucifer has a second appearance that he can selectively show. He usually just keeps it to the eyes, letting them flash red (like so), or if he's particularly pissed off with someone, he'll show them the whole face (like so - NSFW warning: image is kind of gory). This ability seems to be selective, as he can be on a street with a group of people and only have the one person he's annoyed with see it.
  • Chronokinesis: lite - He's been shown to be outside of the influence of the ability of angels to stop or slow time in his canon. Amenadiel often slows it when he comes to visit and both Lucifer and Maze are capable of continuing to move as usual with no slowed effects because of it. Without his wings, he can't affect it himself.
  • *SPECIAL - As he'll be having his wings back courtesy of this new Hell, he might well be privy to the same abilities he had before he chopped them off, but I'll leave that up to mod discretion.
    • Chronokinesis: full - With his wings he might well be able to have the ability that his brothers do in being able to slow time around himself and any non angelic/demonic parties. This would likely only work on Earth during Reapings or AES instances.
    • Prayer - It was shown that Lucifer could call Amenadiel to him via prayer, so with his wings making him a fully functioning celestial being again, it's possible he'd be capable of responding to prayers in his name.
    • Flight - With his wings back, he should be able to get around via flight like a good little fallen angel.

History: (The wiki is terrible)
  • Was kicked out of Heaven for the cardinal sin of Pride.
  • Had to go rule Hell for a ridiculous amount of time. (Ten billion years)
  • Got really, really tired of that crap after a few eons.
  • Five years ago, Lucifer decided to leave Hell and move to the mortal realm.
  • Had Maze cut off his wings (which we believe is where his divinity is stored and removing them allows him to become closer to God's favored creation, and therefore not angelic enough to rule Hell) and landed in LA on the beach.
  • Had Maze hide his wings away and opened a club called 'Lux'.
  • For five years pre the series starting, he traded favors with people, using his abilities to help grant favors in return for I.O.Us on favors owed. Most of them he hasn't cashed in on, but at least 2 have come up in the series as 'time to pay me back a favor'.
  • So begins the series, with him telling his former waitress turned famous singer her payment to him would be to pull herself together, only she got shot outside his club and that introduced Chloe Decker, a shunned homicide detective from the LAPD into his life.
  • In his quest for retribution for the death of someone he considered his and who'd had her life cut short and her murderer needing justice, he came to find that the Detective was resourceful and useful. And apparently immune to his abilities.
  • His fascination with a mortal being immune to him and his need to do something other than be indulgent to his prurient fantasies led to him finagling a consultant position in the LAPD to legitimately work with her.
  • Started therapy with a mortal therapist (who was later manipulated by his brother into pissing him off in a bid to get him back to Hell).
  • Was shot by Chloe, which he'd told her to do to prove that he was immortal, only the shot actually wounded him and he bled, leading to the mystery of 'Is the Devil turning human? Is Lucifer mortal?'
  • Had his wings stolen.
  • Got them back and burned them in front of Amenadiel to prove to his brother that he wasn't going back to Hell.
  • Made unlikely friends with a priest, only to lose him at the end of the episode and feel genuine grief and pain over that loss.
  • Found out that there was a rush to doing good things and started trying to 'be a better Devil', but found out that it wasn't good things he liked, but Chloe's approval.
  • Also found out that he was only mortal/vulnerable around Chloe, like a weird area of effect and didn't really know how to deal with that.
  • The dirty cop that Amenadiel brought back from the dead/Hell to try to kill Lucifer sided with Lucifer after being given a 'get out of Hell free' token, then because of his visit in Hell and believing that Lucifer was who he said he was, started killing Satanists 'for him' because he was a crazy whack job.
  • Had a showdown with everyone in the finale; offered to go back to Hell because he thought Chloe believed him capable of murder that Malcolm framed him for, then offered to hunt down Malcolm when she told him she believed he was innocent, then teamed up with Amenadiel to do that, then got shot and killed by Malcolm.
  • Made a deal with God that if he protected Chloe and didn't let her get hurt, he'd do whatever God wanted, go wherever He wanted him to go, including back to Hell.
  • God accepted and after a brief visit in Hell to show him that someone powerful (Mum) had escaped, God apparently brought him back to help Chloe.

Hell Status: Hell Veteran

The Pitch: Lucifer Morningstar, as far as we've seen him, brings to mind a spoiled trust-fund kid who's mad that Daddy cut them off and is making them do things for themselves. He gets personally offended at the most offhanded use of His name (Oh God, dear God, what in God's name) and answers them as if they're serious mentions of Him as a person and not a concept. Nothing gets on his nerves more than him and someone else having a good time and hearing 'Oh God' leave their lips. Total boner killer. Not to mention it takes away from him, and Lucifer's a bit of a selfish, egotistical peacock. Though he's honest about it, if that means anything.

After ten billion years of seeing only the worst that humanity had to offer, he doesn't really hold the species up to a high standard, but they certainly are fun to play with. While he might offer suggestions and whisper a few words in someone's ear, the rule of Free Will that God gave His children is something that Lucifer adheres to. Shown in his sessions with his therapist (yes, Satan has a shrink), he has an enormous amount of pent up anger and frustration at being the literal scapegoat for all of humanity's flaws and weaknesses. "The Devil made me do it" is an outright lie, and he has a particular abhorrence for lies. He doesn't, you see. Lie, that is. He'll tell the out-and-out truth right to someone's face. It's not his fault that most of the time, people don't believe him. "Yes, I'm Lucifer Morningstar. The Lucifer Morningstar. Yes, the Devil. That's me." /crickets. He tried. He doesn't even do white lies, more or less dancing around the truth or only offering one side of it. But he often expects people he runs into to lie, unless he's using his woo-woo on them.

All he really wants out of life is to be his own man -- angel. He wants to enjoy the life that his Father gave to his favorites, and maybe rub it in Daddy's face now and then when he can. He's an advocate of sex, drugs, and rock and roll and has no issues with sharing what he has because material things are silly, don't you know. You can't take it with you. Hell was boring and he came to earth to have a little fun. He is going to be so bummed to find out that not only is he back in Hell, but it's not even his Hell, which means he's not the boss. But maybe he can have a little fun in this one, hmm?

Setting Fit: As a Veteran, he'll have spent his entire time down in Little Hades. About 3 years or so of Hell time will have established him with a decent home and fingers in enough pies to be able to have a fair idea of how things run. It's not his Hell, which is what keeps him curious. The fact that he's not the one that has to run it, that it's completely different from his version of Hell is curious in itself. It's not as fun as earth, but with potential forays upward as a reaper or AES agent, he might dawdle during his work to enjoy a breath of fresh air or pick a few things up with reaper gloves (when he earns them). He's going to be thoroughly bummed to be in Hell when he first gets there, but we'll be skipping past that via magical timey wimey crap and he'll have come to terms with the fact that this is where his Father wanted him to wind up. Being not only 'just' Lucifer, but one of many versions of himself is something he finds fascinating, as is the idea of multiple realms. He did get out once, after all. Maybe there's a possibility to find another way out.

For the time being, he'll be established as someone to call to fill in a spot or to persuade to play for a few days at some club or another. He's spent the last few years trying to pretend that nothing much changed in his life, outside of location. He hasn't fully joined Brimstone yet, even though they keep trying to get him to, either as a Reaper or AES, but he keeps only doing the odd job here or there on a single contract basis. He'll still be doing favors for favors and maybe trying to fill certain demon or cop sized holes in his life with sex and drugs and... well, you know the rest.
