His wings would stay out all night, wrapping her up in white glory in hopes that it would keep her mind her own and afford her a mostly dreamless sleep -- or untainted night of dreams, but Lucifer had already decided that if there was something out there mucking with her mind, he'd have to go poke his nose into it to see if he could convince it to stop.
